A swallow in pine

I got this sweet wall lamp the other day from Andreas at Donebyhand. I think I will let it stay unpainted. Most things have a colour in our home, so this would be a nice contrast.

The sun, the light

Today the sun is shining on Raku doll. Spring light is the best. Love it!

Kids

Doing jobs together with Jenny, means working with kids. It's fun!

Just recently, I was involved in a photo shoot for Geggamoja children's clothes autumn/winter 2014. Approx. 14 kids in 15 hours. A fun challenge. It turned out really well. The kids were great.

A couple of months ago, we did a children's playroom. The lovely posters are from Copenhagen Zoo. Can be found here www.cphkidswear.com. Rug in the background from Urban Outfitters.

I'm so looking forward to the new book about children's rooms, Rum för kidsen by Isabelle McAllister, photos by Jenny Brandt. Released March 11th. (will hopefully be translated into English one day)

All the best!

Visit homes

The thing I like the most about my job is meeting all these nice and fun people. The visits I did, together with photographer Jenny, last summer/autumn are now starting to get published. Great fun to see how it turned out! I really feel privileged to be invited into people's homes.

In January, we had features in Elle (Norway), Boligliv (Denmark) and Aftonbladet Härligt hemma (Sweden); The graphic designer Sabine from Sisterbrandt. Frida who runs the design studio Modelform. Right now you can see the great collector and flea market-pro Maria in the magazines Retro (Sweden) and Vtwonen (The Netherlands).

Very sweet women and families with nice and fun homes! Check them out, it's hard not to get inspired! I especially like the way they work with colours throughout the home. Spot on.

If you know somebody who is nice and cool and lives in an awesome place, please let me know.

Take care out there!

Say hello to Mustard!

Last March I decided to quit my job at IKEA and start my own business - Mustard. Today I am a freelance stylist/magazine writer, among other things.

This blog will focus on Mustard and the things I do for a living. I am sure some posts will be about my family - Måns, Vera 13, Timo 11, Irma 6, mini schnauzer Mattis - and our life in the south of Sweden.

Now I am going to figure out how this tool works and get my blog started. The first thing is to get rid of the grey box behind my logo. I wonder why it is there.

Well, well, see you soon!
